Over winter break, Brown-Dickinson Scholars connected with industry partners and CAFNR alumni in the St. Louis area! The program highlights the power of experiential learning—part of our RISE experience—giving students firsthand exposure to careers in agriculture, human health, pet nutrition and food supply chains.
Students visited leading companies including Bunge, Bayer, Pfizer—home to the historic 300L fermenter instrumental in COVID-19 vaccine production—Consolidated Grain & Barge, and Nestle-Purina. Many of the corporate hosts are CAFNR alumni themselves, sharing how their Mizzou education prepared them for success. Students also enjoyed a networking dinner with area alumni, building valuable connections and gaining insights into their future careers.
