CAFNR student places in final four at national competition

College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources student Clarissa Brown placed in the final four at the national American Farm Bureau Federation Collegiate Discussion Meet Feb. 7-8. Brown, a junior in agricultural education, represented the MU Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter at the event. This contest included participants from all over the United States.

CAFNR students sweep at Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

CAFNR made a lasting impression at the 2013 Missouri Farm Bureau Annual Meeting Dec. 8-10 at the Lake of the Ozarks. All six ambassador finalists and scholarship winners were Mizzou students. They included: Samantha Gibson, sophomore in agricultural education; Jesse Fowler, sophomore in agribusiness management; Miriam Martin, sophomore in animal sciences; Cameron Locke, sophomore in animal sciences; Mason Kiehl, sophomore in agricultural systems management; and Sam McDonald, freshman in plant sciences.

Carah Hart receives $5,000 farm broadcasting scholarship

CAFNR junior Carah Hart is this year’s recipient of the $5,000 Glenn Kummerow Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded by the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) foundation to continue education.
