Why did you want to become a CAFNR Ambassador? I wanted to be a CAFNR Ambassador because I have had amazing CAFNR experiences and have built strong relationships with so many CAFNR professors. I wanted to share these amazing experiences with perspective students and let students know how meaningful CAFNR can be in their college experience!
What has been your favorite part of your degree program so far? My favorite part about Parks, Recreation and Sport is my chance to work with a SEC, D1 athletic department while I am still in college. In this degree there has been so many friends and faculty who have helped and supported me in my current internship with Mizzou Athletics!
Best study spot? Ellis Library is perfect for late night studying!
Best place for a snack or coffee? I love going to Lakota Coffee in downtown Columbia! However, you can’t go wrong with the Memorial Student Union for homework and Starbucks!
Dream career? If I could have any job, I would hope to be a General Manager of a Major League Baseball team! More realistically though, I would be happy with any job that let’s me be around baseball!!
What do you love about CAFNR? My favorite thing about CAFNR is how welcoming and supportive the staff is!
What advice do you have for incoming students? My advice for freshman is to get involved in things you genuinely enjoy doing. You have plenty of time to devote to building your resume (something it took me a year to learn!) and you only have four years to do fun, random activities with friends. The one “fun” activity and one “professional” activity is a good rule to follow!
