Why did you want to become a CAFNR Ambassador? To be able to highlight my field of study to incoming students. Food Science is a large industry already, and I believe it will continue to grow in the future. This degree program has endless opportunities after college. Also just being able to highlight the College of Agriculture is a passion of mine. I’ve really found my place here at Mizzou in CAFNR, so I want to do as much as I can to help others find that as well.
What has been your favorite part of your degree program so far? My fellow classmates. Food Science is a smaller degree program, so everyone knows each other. My classmates and professors are always willing to lend a helping hand.
Best study spot? Ellis Library
Dream career? Meat Scientist
What do you love about CAFNR? There are many things I love about CAFNR but a big one is the relatively small class sizes. Coming from a small town especially this helped me out. It is not nearly as intimidating going into a class of 25 kids versus an 800 kid lecture hall.
What advice do you have for incoming students? Jump straight in and hit the ground running.
