Why did you want to become a CAFNR Ambassador? I decided to become a CAFNR Ambassador because I enjoy listening to others’ experiences. Connecting with current and/or prospective students has allowed me to recognize and understand different backgrounds and experiences others have faced to become more aware of the world that we live in.

What has been your favorite part of your degree program so far? In plant sciences, we are fortunate to receive hands-on experience in the form of labs. The labs go in depth into what we are learning about and provide us with the knowledge and tools to prepare us for our future careers.

Best study spot? Memorial Union — Starbucks is right there!

Best place for a snack or coffee? Definitely Starbucks

Dream career? Entomologist

What do you love about CAFNR? CAFNR does a great job providing students a “home away from home”. The faculty truly do care about students and you really get to know your professors on a more personal level.

What advice do you have for incoming students? My advice for incoming students is to take the opportunities that are in front of you, but do not overcommit yourself. As a residential advisor, I often see my residents become over-involved in activities and they become highly stressed out. Knowing your limit is key to having a successful college experience.
