Why did you want to become a CAFNR Ambassador? I wanted to be a CAFNR Ambassador so that I can draw potential students to the incredible CAFNR community and make genuine connections. When I was going on college tours, one thing that stood out to me about Mizzou was the CAFNR Ambassador I spoke to. Not many other schools had a student of my major speak to me separately from the tour guide. This connection made me realize how personal and close-knit the CAFNR community is. I aim to reach out to uncertain high schoolers and guide them towards this one-of-a-kind college.

What has been your favorite part of your degree program so far? My favorite part of my degree program so far has been taking a biochemistry lab class in just my second semester of college! It’s super cool learning laboratory skills that will come into play in my later studies and my career.

Best study spot? Ellis Library

Best place for a snack or coffee? Bookmark Café has the best bagels

Dream career? I would love to be a pediatrician or go into medical research!

What do you love about CAFNR? I love how personable the CAFNR community is. With smaller majors and class sizes, it’s easier to make connections with peers, mentors, and professors. The faculty are dedicated to ensure each student’s success while they also foster a sense of belonging.

What advice do you have for incoming students? Don’t be afraid to get involved! Joining a club or attending an event can be the first step to making a new friend or creating connections!
