Why did you want to become a CAFNR Ambassador? I wanted to become a CAFNR Ambassador because I wanted the opportunity to communicate with prospective students and help them see that it can be a good fit for them. This way I can share the experiences and opportunities that CAFNR has given me.
What has been your favorite part of your degree program so far? My favorite part of the Hospitality Management program so far has been making friends within in my degree program. Meeting others with the same interests and passions as you is a really good perk. I have also really enjoyed my Conference and Event class, by learning the logistics of what it takes to put on an event.
Best study spot? My favorite study spot is Ellis Library
Best place for a snack or coffee? Starbucks at Memorial Union or Three Story Coffee off-campus
Dream career? My dream career is to become a event planner for a nonprofit.
What do you love about CAFNR? That the professors really care about you succeeding in college and want to see you do well. They are willing to help you in any way possible.
What advice do you have for incoming students? Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone while you’re here. You won’t regret joining clubs and meeting new people! Also, talk to your professors because the connections that you make now can help you land an internship or a job in the future.
