Why did you want to become a CAFNR Ambassador? I wanted to become a CAFNR Ambassador because I had switched majors into CAFNR and one of the previous ambassadors had taken me under her wing and really helped me acclimate to the new college. I wanted to be able to help others the way she helped me!
What has been your favorite part of your degree program so far? My favorite part of Food Science and Nutrition so far has been meeting everyone. Food science is a broad major, and all my classmates are taking it in a different direction post-graduation. It is refreshing to hear about what they want to do with our degree, and I love how much we support each other!
Best study spot? The best study spot is hands down the first floor of Ellis Library. There is just enough noise without being distracting.
Best place for a snack or coffee? The best place for coffee is Three Story (it doubles as another great study spot). For a snack I like to go to Buck’s Ice Cream shop to satisfy my sweet tooth 🙂
Dream career? My dream career is to own a winery that also has a restaurant!
What do you love about CAFNR? I love that CAFNR has the resources of a large college but has the tight-knit community of a small college.
What advice do you have for incoming students? I would tell incoming students to try everything they possibly can. Mizzou and CAFNR have so many fun and cool clubs and organizations. Don’t be afraid to go outside your comfort zone, you can learn something new about yourself and make friends along the way!
