Why did you want to become a CAFNR Ambassador? I wanted to become a CAFNR Ambassador because I wanted the opportunity to communicate with prospective students who look like me and have similar backgrounds as I do. Growing up in a suburb of Chicago having little to no experience working with animals made the transition into my major intimidating, but along the way I have met people who share my experiences and can relate to what I am feeling which is what I hope to be able to do with other people.

What has been your favorite part of your degree program so far? My favorite part of my degree program is probably getting the opportunity to be a TA this semester because I enjoy getting to help students and work closely with my professor to see all the work that goes into each course.

Best study spot? The Rec and the Quad in the spring

Best place for a snack or coffee? Insomnia Cookies is my guilty pleasure for a late night sweet snack

Dream career? Companion Animal Veterinarian

What do you love about CAFNR? The endless number of possibilities that they provide to get involved and engage with your interests whether it be through research, clubs, internships, jobs, and so on.

What advice do you have for incoming students? Get involved and don’t be afraid to explore the opportunities that you come across because you may end up finding a new hobby, passion, or even career.
