Description
Mary Ann Gowdy is a recipient of the William T. Kemper Fellow for Excellence in Teaching award and holds teaching and administrative duties within Plant Sciences. Her teaching responsibilities include Horticultural Ecology, Plant Propagation, Greenhouse and Nursery Crops Production, Floral Design, and Women in Leadership Roles.
Gowdy’s administrative responsibilities range from overseeing the operation of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) greenhouse facilities to serving as chairman of the CAFNR Courses & Curriculum Committee. In addition, Gowdy is a member of the Plant Science Undergraduate Education committee, Greenhouse committee and coordinates undergraduate student recruitment for Plant Sciences. She also serves as the Program Leader for Tiger Garden, the student operated campus floral shop.
