Calvin serves as the research scientist for cotton production in Missouri, conducting applied research and developing cotton outreach programs. The objective of his program is to research agronomic issues important to Missouri cotton producers and extend results in a timely, efficient manner for the purpose of increasing the productivity, profitability, and competitiveness of cotton production in Missouri. His research program focuses on variety testing, remote sensing, drought stress/irrigation, and crop protectants/growth regulation. He also oversees operation of the University of Missouri’s Cotton MicroGin.
