Description
Bill Wiebold had an extension/research appointment related to soybean and corn management. Extension objectives included development of cropping systems that improve productivity, enhance economic stability, and protect the environment. He promoted grower acceptance of these cropping systems through educational programs targeting growers, input dealers, and regional extension specialists in Missouri. Applied research included interrelationships among crop management choices (e.g. seeding rate, row spacing, planting date), no-tillage, grain composition and precision agriculture. He will continue his extension and research program as professor emeritus. Bill is director of the MU Variety Testing Program.
