Albert R. Vogt, PhD, served the School of Natural Resources as Director from 1985-2002, and was instrumental in the Anheuser-Busch Natural Resources Building fund raising and construction. He received his BS, MS and PhD in Forestry from the University of Missouri. A St. Louis native, Al continued to be active in conservation efforts across the state and received the Missouri Conservation Educator of the Year Award in 2004, and served as the President of the Conservation Federation of Missouri Board of Directors. Especially important to Al is the Conservation Leadership Corp which he helped establish in 2002 and is still going strong today. The Conservation Leadership Corps (CLC) is a multi-year youth education program for high school juniors and seniors and college students. The goal is to engage youth in sustaining the conservation of our natural resources, and to develop the next generation of conservation leaders.
