Description

My primary work involves corn rootworm resistance management and insecticide discovery to control and mitigate resistance to transgenic corn expressing Bacillus thuringiensis. I’m also interested in elucidating the mechanisms of resistance to Bt by using RNAi to silence potential genes involved in resistance, as well as the assessment of phenotypic changes after exposure of corn rootworm larvae to lethal and sublethal doses of double stranded RNA during selection for resistance.
