The third meeting of the IDE Journal Club, sponsored by CAFNR’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Compassion Committee, will be on a topic related to Biochemistry and will be held Tuesday, April 12, 12-1 p.m. in ABNR 210.
Topic: Polio and Covid Wars
Yale historian of medicine Naomi Rogers, PhD, discusses and compares the US response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Polio pandemic, with regards to racial disparities during both pandemics, access to treatment and vaccines, and implications for social and health policy.
Please listen to this 44-minute talk before the meeting and be prepared to engage in meaningful dialogue.
