CAFNR Office of Academic Programs Newsletter // January 2022
Message from the Senior Associate Dean and Director of Academic Programs
 (click to read)

I had a great time honoring our December graduates last month, and I am excited to welcome our students, faculty and staff back for another semester! As we head into the semester, I have great news related to CAFNR’s student retention! CAFNR’s current retention of first-time college (FTC) students from the fall to spring semesters stands at 95 percent, an increase from last year’s 93.8 percent. Our retention of all undergraduates is 95.7 percent, an increase from 94.7 percent a year ago.

I want to thank our professional advisors and student service coordinators who contacted non-enrolled students throughout the fall and during the semester break. Your effort really paid off!

Please help me congratulate the 998 students who were recognized on the Dean’s list for Fall 2021! We had 54 new students join CAFNR and attend Winter Welcome for Spring 2022, and our 47 new and returning CAFNR Ambassadors participated in their first training this weekend to help CAFNR recruitment, career services and advancement.

Also, please be aware of the University of Missouri Show Me Renewal website for important updates related to safety guidelines and campus policies as we continue to navigate the pandemic.
