Frederick B. Mumford Distinguished Service Award
The award recognizes an alumna, alumnus or friend of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources who has contributed to the College through her or his support of and involvement in the betterment of the College and its programs. The awardee will be a leader in her or his chosen field and will have been recognized by peers for excellence in their actions and leadership. The awardee will have demonstrated commitment to helping the College achieve its goals of excellence in teaching, research and extension/outreach.
Nomination packets must be submitted by 5 p.m., March 3, 2017, to:

Any alumna, alumnus or friend of the College who has helped the College achieve its land-grant mandate is eligible for nomination.
Completed Nomination Packets must include:
- The Mumford Award nomination form signed by the nominator; included a letter giving examples of specific characteristics that qualify this person for this award.
- A one to two page summary explaining the nominee's contributions to the College and its programs and to the broader community.
- No less than three and no more than six letters of support.
Note: Incomplete or late nominations will not be reviewed.
Selection for this award will be based on the quality of the evidence of outstanding abilities, performance, character and commitment to the land-grant philosophy.
