The Southwest Research Center Field Day and Ag Education Day was held Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Center in Mount Vernon. Nearly 1,800 students from more than 50 schools attended the event.

The second listening session for the Missouri Food, Beverage and Forest Products Manufacturing Initiative was held Monday, Sept. 9, at Bradford Research Center, bringing together agriculture and natural resources leadership from Missouri State, Southeast Missouri State, Northwest Missouri State and Lincoln University.

The first-ever Bradford Sweet Corn Tasting & Dinner was held Thursday, Sept. 5. The sold-out event was attended by CAFNR donors, friends, faculty and staff. Bradford plans to host another dinner next fall.

A Study Abroad Fair was held Thursday, Sept. 5, to held students learn about CAFNR programs and scholarship offerings. Program partners and students who've been on previous trips chatted with interested students.

Wagons tours took attendees around the Fisher Delta Research Center Friday, Sept. 30, as part of the 58th annual Field Day at the Center in Portageville. Tours included those on soybean, cotton, weeds and general agriculture.

UM System President Mun Choi speaks at the Fisher Delta Research Center Appreciation Breakfast Friday, Aug. 30, while CAFNR Vice Chancellor and Dean Chris Daubert; Marshall Stewart, MU vice chancellor for extension and engagement and UM System chief engagement officer; and MU Chancellor Alex Cartwright look on. James Hundle received the first-ever CAFNR Staff Advisory Council Outstanding Service Award for assisting the council with logistics, communication and more. He was surprised with the honor in late August.

The first-ever Science Night at Jefferson Farm and Garden took place Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Research Center in Columbia. The event focused on numerous weather topics and include live KOMU weather broadcasts, a weather balloon launch and a roundtable discussion.
