Fishing Fun at Jefferson Farm and Garden

JFG fun family fishing nights return in 2018

The Jefferson Farm and Garden fun family fishing nights return in 2018, offering families and friends an opportunity to fish in Jefferson’s 7-acre stocked pond. The fishing nights will take place on the second Friday during each of the next four months: May 11, June 8, July 13 and August 10.

“Our fun family fishing nights are always a great time for families, as well as individuals who are looking to just get out and do a little fishing,” said Amy Weeks, director of Jefferson Farm and Garden. “Last year’s events were a ton of fun.”

The cost is $5 per person – children 4 years old and younger are free. That price includes the rental of a fishing pole, bait, one s’more and one drink. The fishing is catch and release only and a fishing license is not required. Each of the four fishing nights run from 6-8 p.m.

“Come out and be the first to have your picture on the JFG trophy board with your big catch,” Weeks said.

Registration is required and can be done by emailing Weeks at weeksaa@missouri.edu or by calling 573-239-6134.
