The 2018 Mizzou Dairy Products Evaluation Team competed in the Regional Dairy Products Evaluation contest Saturday, April 7, in Grand Rapids Michigan, hosted by Consolidated Dairy Products and Fairlife.
The team placed first in Milk and second in Ice Cream. Individual students also placed, including:
Emily Kirisits, first in Milk; Isabel McNeill, third in Milk and Ice Cream; Taylor Harper, first in Butter and Ice Cream, second in Cottage Cheese, and third in Cheddar Cheese and Yogurt.
The team consists of Nicole Carey, junior in food science and nutrition, St. Louis, Missouri; Emily Kirisits, junior in food science and nutrition, St. Louis, Missouri; Isabel McNeill, senior in food science and nutrition, River Forest, Illinois. Alternates: Brandon Mallinckrodt, senior in food science and nutrition, Winfield, Missouri; and Hunter Rohlf, junior in food science and nutrition, St. Charles, Missouri. Graduate Student: Taylor Harper, master’s student in food science, Macomb, Illinois. The team’s coach is Rick Linhardt, instructor in food science.
