Tina Clark, office support assistant III, Delta Research Center, was (virtually!) surprised Dec. 7 with the quarterly Above and Beyond award from Staff Advisory Council. She was nominated by Kristen Smarr, CAFNR's director of communications, who is holding the phone as Tina watches the award presentation by Gary Cunningham, Tammy Knierim and Jessie Becker of Staff Advisory Council. Congratulations Tina and thanks for all you do!

Members of this semester’s Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders for Science (PTLS) class, led by Loriana Sekarski (far right, front of room), watch videos produced by their fellow classmates for the first time Dec. 6 in 217 Mumford Hall. The class was assigned to break up into three groups to produce three 90-second videos, which will later be shown to and critiqued by Monsanto representatives, that explain complex scientific issues to a lay audience. Marc Linit, senior associate dean for research and extension, and Mike Chippendale, professor emeritus of plant sciences (middle left, front of room) were both on hand to give their feedback.
