Renee Adler named CAFNR Outstanding Senior for December 2016

Renee Adler has been named the CAFNR Outstanding Senior for December 2016. Adler received a bachelor of science degree in agricultural systems management, with minors in plant sciences and soil sciences Friday, Dec. 16.

Adler studied abroad in Germany in spring 2016, and has worked as a farmhand at Greenley Research Center, performing farm tasks in a research setting, and at the Soil Health Assessment Center/Sanborn Field, performing cover crop research, soil health analysis and operational field work. Her tasks in the laboratory have included data collection and specialized laboratory techniques. In the field she has worked on the identification of soil horizons, common pests, weeds and agronomic crop diseases.

She has served on the 100 Years of Agriculture Engineering Committee as the lead student planner; on the CAFNR Week Steering Committee; as a Dickinson Scholar; Alpha MU Engineering Honors Fraternity as the rush chair and was named their Outstanding Senior 2016; in the Agricultural Systems Management Club, Mizzou Collegiate 4-H, and in Independent Aggies.

Adler was one of approximately 320 students who graduated from CAFNR and SNR this December.
