Our friends Keith (BS Ag ’57) and Ruth Ann Boyer graciously hosted a CAFNR alumni picnic at their beautiful, historic farm in Gorin, Missouri, July 23. It was fun to catch up with friends from that part of the state and share with them the many great research and teaching endeavors going on in CAFNR.
A wonderful time was had by all, and we even learned something. The Boyers’ grandson Nate is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, studying under the tutelage of Dr. David Braun, associate professor in biological sciences. He gave a talk to the group describing the research he is doing in corn genetics on sugar transfer within cells.
Thanks to Keith and Ruth Ann for hosting this wonderful event and to everyone who attended.
