The CAFNR canoe, Corps of Discovery, flipped close to the starting line April 30 at Float Your Boat. But Dusty Walter got back in and made impressive time to the finish line! The boat was constructed by Walter, AES director of natural resources and superintendent of Wurdack Research Center; Drew Backues, system support analyst-expert for CAFNR; and Donna Thomas, business support specialist II, field operations.

MU Forestry Club students compete at the 64th Midwestern Foresters' Conclave April 16, at the Hallsville Fairgrounds. The event was hosted by the MU club, who took 2nd place overall. The 16th annual Monticello Society Brunch was held Saturday, April 16, at Bradford Research Center to recognize CAFNR donors. Katy Shircliff, a doctoral student in meat science and coach of the Meat Judging Team, shared with the crowd an overview of the teaching, research and extension activities of the program and the successes of the team.
