Spencer Hoagland has been named the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources’ Outstanding Senior for Fall 2015.
Hoagland graduated Dec. 18, 2015, with a degree in plant sciences with a horticultural science and design emphasis, and a minor in agricultural economics. She is from Schell City, Missouri.
One professor stated about Hoagland: “Spencer is dependable, accountable, and always ready to take on the next task or topic.”
She became a leader at the university as a founding member and President of the Mizzou Students of the American Institute of Floral Designers and the Program Chair for Mizzou Collegiate Farm Bureau. Hoagland has been a District-Wide Political Director and District Intern for Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler, a Missouri Farm Bureau Agricultural Policy Intern, and a Student Manager at CAFNR’s Tiger Garden.
About 300 CAFNR students graduated Dec. 18. CAFNR’s ceremony was held in the Hearnes Center, while SNR held commencement ceremonies in Jesse Auditorium.
