MESSAGE FROM DEAN PAYNE

Dear CAFNR Family—

I feel it’s important you have as much information, as quickly as possible, as we move forward through the coming days.

I met with Hank Foley, who’s been named to become interim chancellor, Provost Stokes and my colleague deans early this morning. We are all working hard to help our great University move forward. I’ll keep you up to date on anything new that I learn.

You may have seen the following information elsewhere but this is what we know so far…

Is the campus open? Are classes being canceled?

Mizzou continues to operate on its regular schedule. Some classes have been cancelled by individual instructors, but the university remains open and fully operational.

Safety

Safety remains our top priority at Mizzou, and we are monitoring campus closely. All demonstrations and protests on campus have been entirely peaceful.  The MU Police Department has been in regular communication with our students and are working with them to ensure that our campus remains peaceful and the MU Police Department continues to keep our campus safe.
