Alumnus Roger Gardner, chief cultural and communications officer, Learfield Sports, was recognized at the Steak Fry held in conjunction with Tiger Ag Classic Sept. 18, as a 2015 Citation of Merit winner from the Ag Alumni Association. Gardner was not able to attend Celebration of Excellence in April, so the award was made just last month. Presenting the honor to Gardner is J.D. Manning, chair of the Ag Alumni Association Awards Committee.

Tiger Ag Classic had the biggest turnout ever this year! A record 37 teams took to the course at L.A. Nickell Friday, Sept. 18. The team pictured here included (from left) Brett Begemann, alumnus and President and Chief Operating Officer at Monsanto; Vice Chancellor and Dean Tom Payne; Applied Social Sciences Instructor Linda Sowers; and UM System President Tim Wolfe. Organizers hope the increased turnout led to increased funds to help CAFNR students!
