ROCK PORT, MO. – The Graves-Chapple Research Center set an attendance record during its 27th annual Field Day, held on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
More than 200 guests attended the event, which focused on numerous agricultural topics.

“We were extremely pleased with our Field Day,” Superintendent Jim Crawford said. “The weather, the attendance and the presentations were all great. We’re really happy with how things went.”
Guests heard presentations and discussions on nutrient management, pest management and crop management. Topics ranged from current and upcoming insect issues to considering the late planting of soybeans.
The event included a free breakfast and lunch.
“Our goal is to provide guests with research-based information on current agricultural issues,” Crawford said. “We want to share that quality information with anyone interested. We definitely feel like we accomplished our goal with this event.”
