Breanne Brammer honored as CAFNR's Outstanding Senior

Breanne Brammer has been named the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources’ Outstanding Senior for Fall 2014.

Brammer graduated Dec. 20 with a degree in science and agricultural journalism, and minors in agricultural economics and international agriculture. She also earned a multicultural certificate.

“Breanne has excelled in her coursework and has been active in numerous activities,” Cody Jones, president of CAFNR Student Council, said at commencement ceremonies. “Peers describe Breanne as hardworking, dedicated and inspirational.”

Brammer’s activities at the University of Missouri have included serving as National First Vice President of Agriculture Communicators of Tomorrow, President of Collegiate Farm Bureau, Vice President of CAFNR Student Council, and Censor of Alpha Zeta agriculture honors fraternity.

She has been recognized as a John Brown Scholar, Dickinson Scholar and a Litton Leadership Scholar. As a freshman she was selected for the International Collegiate Agricultural Leadership (I-CAL) program. The two-week summer program took Brammer to Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore where she learned about global agriculture and international marketing.

Brammer has extensive internship experience with Agriculture Future of America; Orphans Unlimited; Agri-Pulse Communications; and Faber and Brand LLC.

Three hundred CAFNR students graduates on Dec. 20. CAFNR’s graduation ceremonies were held in the Hearnes Center, where 193 were scheduled to receive diplomas. SNR graduated an estimated 107 students at the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts.
