We’ve been going strong for two decades and are excited for many more – come celebrate with us!
The MU Ag 100 Endowment Fund is marking 20 years of success with an event Sept. 6, 2014. The activities kick off at 11:30 a.m., and close at 3 p.m. Join donors, current and former board members, scholarship recipients, faculty and staff on the lawn between Eckles Hall and the Ag Engineering Building for family-friendly activities with a carnival atmosphere!
Ag 100 impacts thousands of CAFNR students and prospective students each year through scholarships, educational programs, technology upgrades and much more. The fund was started in 1994 by the Ag Alumni Association to combine smaller gifts to the College into an endowment to provide enhancements to CAFNR. The fund has shown that small gifts – alumni are encouraged to give just $100 a year – can make a big difference!
Ag 100 is the largest endowment of any school or college alumni board at MU. Over the years it has enabled the Ag Alumni Board to award more than $450,000 in scholarships to CAFNR students.
The primary objectives of the endowment are to:
- Support CAFNR;
- Support the greatest number of CAFNR students;
- Enhance classroom learning experience;
- Support recruitment and retention of CAFNR students; and
- Fund scholarships for the largest number of CAFNR undergraduates.
Recent funding has aided the Mizzou Agricultural Economics Club; CAFNR student officers through a team development program; Preview Mizzou student recruitment days; CAFNR Career Services; Environmental Science Club; Summer Welcome; and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences.
We hope you will mark your calendar for Sept. 6 to celebrate Ag 100’s longevity and success as we look forward to the next 20 years with you and many more supporters yet to join! Learn more about the free event and register today at cafnralumni.com/Ag100Event
