Women in Ag
Amie Schleicher, MU Extension livestock specialist, performed a hands-on training talk about ways to measure forages at the first ever Pearls of Production conference held at Bradford Research Center in Columbia on Nov. 8-9. The conference was designed for women involved in agriculture and in its first year saw more than 50 women from the Midwest attend. The program was designed to provide leadership and hands-on training opportunities for women livestock producers and to reach women who are playing larger roles and making key decisions on the farm.
