The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources brought home two first-place awards and three second-place awards from the National Agriculture Alumni and Development Association 2013 Publications & Projects Competition. NAADA’s annual conference was held June 16-19 in Old Town Alexandria, Va.
The CAFNR Student Recruitment Display, featured in Jesse Hall, submitted by Michelle Hall, marketing communications coordinator, received first place in the Multimedia – Posters – Flyers – Ads category. The Agriculture Building Plaza Landscape Dedication Favor, submitted by Christine Pickett, director of external relations, also received first place, in the Multimedia – Specialty Items/Give-a-ways category.
The Gratitude 2012 Publication and 2012 Tiger AG Golf Classic, submitted by Pickett and the CAFNR Viewbook, submitted by Hall, all received second place in their respective categories.
There were more than 70 submissions overall.
Each finalist was asked to showcase their submission on a table and have an example of the submission to share with others.
Hall and Pickett, along with Heidi Griswold, Director of Development, Dana Brown-Haynes, Director of Alumni Relations, and two CAFNR alums attended the conference.
