Spring Commencement

CAFNR and SNR will graduate 454 on May 12

After four or more years of hard work, 454 graduates from the MU School of Natural Resources and College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources will receive their degrees and begin their careers.

SNR will graduate 76 students.  That commencement will begin at noon, May 12, in Jesse Auditorium, Jesse Hall, on the MU campus.  The commencement speaker will be Steve Flick, founder of the Show-Me Energy Cooperative, Centerview, Mo.

CAFNR will graduate 378 students beginning at 4:30 p.m., May 12, at the Hearnes Center.  The speaker will be U.S. Congressman Samuel Graves, representative from 6th MO district.

These students are among nearly 5,800 students will receive degrees during Spring commencement exercises at the University of Missouri.

“The University of Missouri is proud of their achievements and confident that our graduates will continue their success out of the classroom and into the workforce,” said Ann Korschgen, vice provost for enrollment at MU. “I believe that MU prepares our students not only for their careers, but also for other endeavors that they will encounter along the way.”

During commencement weekend, MU will award 6,495 degrees, including 4,844 bachelor’s degrees, 1,036 master’s degrees, 286 doctorates, 143 law degrees, 29 education specialist degrees, 87 medical degrees and 70 veterinary medicine degrees. (Some students receive more than one degree.)
