CAFNR’s gathering at MU’s Family Weekend was the place to be Saturday, Sept. 17! The College hosted a Family Breakfast/Brunch in the Culinary Café in Eckles Hall. Parents, students, faculty and staff mingled and enjoyed a meal prepared by CAFNR’s hospitality management program. Nearly 500 students and parents attended. The resourceful College chefs, after running out of breakfast items, just moved on to lunch fare for the hungry crowd!
Parents raved about the hospitality, the chance to meet College personnel and the great food!
“It is rare at such a large institution to receive such a warm Southern welcome,” Donna Johnson (pictured at left, with Bryan Garton, associate dean; daughter Tyler; and CAFNR Dean Tom Payne) wrote in an email message. “It is experiences like our informal chat over breakfast that validates my decision to entrust you and your faculty with the development of my child’s future.”
Family Weekend is a great chance to visit campus, enjoy the Columbia community, spend time with families, take part in the MU student experience and learn more about the University and College.
