This year’s Outstanding Senior, Ashley Noblitt from Bolivar, Mo., is getting her wish to be a teacher. She has accepted a position as an agricultural education teacher and FFA adviser in Hermitage, Mo.
She was an agriculture education major in the teacher certification program. She minored in ag economics and plant sciences.
Noblitt’s educational background has positioned her well for this career. She was the president of the Collegiate Farm Bureau, president of the Agricultural Education Society, president of the CAFNR Student Council, and the second vice president and new member educator for Sigma Alpha, the professional agricultural sorority.
She was also one of the American Royal’s “Royal 6.” This program recognizes six outstanding sophomores/juniors from across the Midwest each year. It is a leadership program sponsored by the American Royal in Kansas City.
In addition to this work, Noblitt was an education intern with the American Royal, and an education and programs intern with Missouri Farm Bureau.
She also interned with National FFA, working backstage on the PowerPoint presentations during the national convention.
