Financial Assistance for Study Abroad
Loans
If you are a College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) student you can apply for a loan of up to $3,500. If you are interested in this CAFNR loan, you can pickup a loan application from the front desk in 2-64 Agriculture Building. For questions about the loan program please contact Donna Vaught, 2-64 Agriculture Building (vaughtd@missouri.edu).
If you plan to use Federal or University financial aid for your study abroad program:
- If your last name begins with A-L you should make an appointment to speak with Susie Facklam, Senior Financial Aid Advisor (facklams@missouri.edu, 11 Jesse Hall, 882-7507)
- If your last name begins with M-Z you should make an appointment with Roberta Knipp (knippr@missouri.edu, 11 Jesse Hall, 882-7506).
Scholarships
CAFNR currently provides over $20,000 annually in scholarships specifically for CAFNR students to study abroad.
If you are a CAFNR student participating on any study abroad program, you can apply for a CAFNR Study Abroad Scholarship.
For Winter Break and Spring Semester Programs the CAFNR Study Abroad Scholarship Application Deadline is October 15.
For Summer and Fall Semester Programs the CAFNR Study Abroad Scholarship Application Deadline is March 1.
Scholarship amounts are normally $500, however the amount varies in some cases.
