CAFNR StuCo Teams
CAFNR Student Council uses teams (committees) to divide up the various activities we sponsor annually. Team Leaders are responsible for overseeing the entire team; however, each activity or event will have a project leader who is responsible for that respective event.
A project leader is responsible not only for one project but also for helping with other projects within the team. Project leaders will refer to team leaders and/or the executive officers for assistance and questions. Communication is very important! We want everyone to have a role and participate in some way.
Development
The role of the Development Team is to serve the CAFNR student body by developing student life in a variety of areas.
Emphasis areas include career services, organization involvement, community service, social activities, and international studies. Past activities include Fall Roundup, Adopt-a-Highway, Central Missouri Food Bank, and StuCo social gatherings.
Students on this team often work with Stephanie Chipman in Career Services and Kristen Smarr with External Relations to find new service projects.
Recruitment
As the name implies, the Recruitment Team has the role of recruiting students to CAFNR.
A responsibility of this team will be to work closely with the Coordinator of Student Recruitment, CeCe Leslie, and the CAFNR Ambassadors.
While the emphasis area of this team is Preview Mizzou, the team is also encouraged to seek ideas for new events.
Spring Swing, a slow-pitch softball tournament, was added to the team's activities during the spring '07 semester.
Relations
The role of the Relations Team is to be the promotions unit of CAFNR StuCo.
This team is responsible for relations in several areas. These areas include faculty, CAFNR students, the MU campus, and CAFNR alumni. Past activities in these areas include a Welcome Breakfast, Bulletin Board week and Club Spotlight.
This team's main project is the annual service project hosting an Adopt-A-Family event during the holiday season.
