Spring Swing

The CAFNR Student Council held its first annual Spring Swing on Apr. 22, 2007, at Hinkson Field on the MU campus. The tournament consisted of teams from Alpha Gamma Rho, Sigma Alpha, Wildlife Society, Forestry Club, FASS, GDI, Mizzou FFA, Ag Econ Club, Ag Ed Society, Agronomy Club, ASM and Collegiate Cattlewomen.

After several hours of sweat and a little blood, Alpha Gamma Rho came away as the winners. The team's name was placed as the first winners on the traveling trophy, and team members received champion t-shirts.

Taking second place was Sigma Alpha Gamma Rho, and the Wildlife Society/Forestry Club took home third.

The tournament raised $750 from registration fees, t-shirt sales and a barbecue lunch. All proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Thanks go out to all Recruitment Team members, umpires, and others who volunteered throughout the day.
