Major: Parks, Recreation and Tourism with an emphasis in Sport Management Hometown: Blytheville, Arkansas
I found out through the new recruiters about the Sport Management program; I wanted to be a part of a major that was more applicable to my desired career field, and since I want to be a sport and entertainment lawyer, the Sport Management major made so much sense.
I have taken advantage of the partnerships that CAFNR currently has with the athletic department. Through this, I have been able to work for an associate director, and I have made plans to continue my work for athletics.
Being a part of the CAFNR Unlimited Banquet has been one of my favorite memories thus far! It was so much fun and all the proceeds go to help student scholarships.
Legal Aspects In Sport taught by Professor Nick Watanabe – Dr. Watanabe is the best and is the definition of what personable professors should be like!
Take advantage of what CAFNR offers. It’s more than just an academic college; CAFNR is family. You can go in to your professors or professional staff’s office anytime and tell them about the smallest things no matter what. They love to hear from students and you are important to them!
It’s a family! It’s more than just a college where there are few clubs within it; CAFNR is a well thread family that cares about the wellbeing of everyone.
CAFNR gave me out-of-classroom experience, and the ability to work as a Teaching Assistant and as a Diversity Recruiter was unbelievable! I can take these experiences with me in any work setting and be able to grow on what I learned within CAFNR.
