Microbes in the Food We Eat and Fertility in Farm Animals

In the presentation of Microbes in the Food We Eat by Azlin Mustapha, Ph.D., students isolated beneficial and not so beneficial microorganisms from a variety of food products. Peter Sutovsky, Ph.D., discussed how to evaluate fertility in bulls and boars as well as how to make designer mare or female calves by preselecting sperm cells that carry either male Y or female X chromosome.
