Sciences of Life Academy

Mizzou's College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources is once again offering its Sciences of Life Academy for 2008.

This is a weeklong residential program on the Mizzou campus that is offered at no charge to the students who are selected.

The Academy includes topics such as Laser Systems in Medicine, Optical Imaging for Medical Diagnosis, Bacterial Genomics, DNA Science and Forensics, Insect Behavior and Ecology, Ecosystem Analysis, Wildlife CSI and much, much more.

The goals of the Academy are:

  • To introduce high school students to business and industry leaders in the Life Sciences from across Missouri including their own urban areas.
  • To introduce students to potential career opportunities in research, law, medicine and veterinary medicine that satisfy their passion for science.
