1930s

Harvey Burch Harrington, BS Ag '37, retired in 1977 as a MU Extension Agent in Putnam County. In 1994, he and his wife Ada moved to Chillicothe, Mo., and they have seven children, four with MU degrees.

1940s

John Donnell, BS Ag '43, recently published a novel, Paradine Island. He lives in University City, Mo.

1950s

John Gullion, BS Biochem '54, reported that the youngest of his seven grandchildren graduated from high school in May 2008 and is now in college.

G. Dean Lindsey, BS Ag '57, celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife, Ruth Alexander Lindsey.

Ray Speckman, BS Ag Econ '59, retired five years ago and lives in Columbia, Mo. He does freelance writing and travels.

1960s

Forrest St. Aubin, BS Ent '60, is operating a conference management business with his wife, Barbara, in Leawood, Kan. He retired as the Director of the Plant Health Division of the Kansas Department of Agriculture.

Roy Borgmier, BS Ag Econ '61, received the Service Above Self award from the Lawson (Mo.) Rotary Club for 30 years of membership and service.

Thelbert Childers, BS Ag '65, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the SPCA.

John Oidtman, BS Ag J '66, works at Linn State Technical College building multimedia instructor stations and creating distance education programs. He plans to retire at the end of the 2008-2009 college year.

Don Day, BS Ag Econ '67, MS '73, retired after 41 years in MU Extension. He lives in Columbia, Mo.

C. Everette Wood, BS Ag Ed '68, accepted the position of Price Support Program Chief at the Missouri State Farm Service Agency, Columbia, Mo.

Roscoe Dickison, BS Ag Chem '64, obtained a PhD in biophysical chemistry. He now teaches and researches the structure of proteins at Rockhurst University in Kansas City.

1970s

James Arnold, BS An Sci '72, owns the Pleasant View Resort/Rocky Mountain Jeep Rental of Lake City, high in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado.

Michael Kerpash, BS Ag Ed '73, teaches in the Silex R-1 School District and lives in Troy, Mo.

Doug Shrout, BS Ag '73, reported that both of his daughters will graduate from MU. Mindy Shrout, BS An Sci '05, will get her DVM in April '09, and Cindy will graduate with her bachelor's in the business school in May '09.

Joseph Weber, BS Rural Soc '73, was elected chair of the sociology department and coordinator of the Gerontology Academic Program at California State University-Fullerton.

David Heisterberg, BS Ag Econ '74, retired from the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service after 32 years as an extension farm management specialist and program coordinator for the Kentucky Farm Business Management Program.

Gary Marshall, BS Ag Econ '74, was reappointed to the board of directors of the U.S. Grains Council. He is also on the board of directors of the American Coalition for Ethanol and lives in Jefferson City, Mo.

Steve Taylor, BS Ag '74, MS Hort '77, retired from teaching in 2001 and moved to Australia. He bought a native plant arboretum in the bush outside of Bendigo.

Dee Graham Jr., BS Food Distribution '75, is expecting his first grandchild. He and his wife, Carol, live in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Don Wilding, MS Food Sci '75, received the 2008 Sanitarian of the Year award for his work for the Illinois Dept. of Public Health.

Jim Clark, BS HRM '76, is president and CEO of the Ft. Collins, Colo., Visitors and Convention Bureau.

Carl Morgan, BS Gen Ag '76, is working as the general superintendent for the Kansas City branch of Emery Sapp and Sons Construction Company.

Ron Feilner, BS Ag Mech '77, and wife Veronica of Columbia, Mo., announce the marriage of their daughter in Sept. 2008.

Mary Simon Leuci, BS Ag '77, was chosen for the 2009 Food Science Leadership Institute, and chairs the board of the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development.

William Parsons, BS Ag '77, is the North American Medical Director for ConocoPhillips with the responsibility for the occupational health of approximately 15,000 employees at two corporate sites, 13 refineries and four lube facilities.

Mary Simon Leuci, Ag Honors 77, was reappointed to the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development Board. She serves as CAFNR Assistant Dean for Community Development Extension.

Michael Driskell, BS Ag Econ '79, is the superintendent of park maintenance for Clay County, Mo.

Ken Grober, BS HRM '79, opened a coffee shop in downtown St. Louis.

Greg Martin, PhD An Sci '79, started his 13th year with the Colorado Bar Association. He lives in Aurora, Colo.

John Terwilliger, BS Forestry '79, started a new forestry job after being in the computer field for 11 years. He lives in Kansas City, Mo.

Andy Graf, BS Biochem '79, is the science department chair at St. Vincent High School in Perryville, Mo. He is also the '09 Chair of the local chapter American Chemical Society, Southern Illinois.

Richard Orr, BS Biochem '79 and MD '83, has been a plastic surgeon in Evansville, Ind. since 1990. He is married and has three children.

Monte Dunard, BS Ag Econ '80, was called back to active duty with the Marine Corps and is the director of the Marine Corps Center for Lessons Learned.

Kevin Cary, BS Ag '81, works as an area sales manager for L.G. Seeds and is secretary of the Ursa Farmers Coop in Canton, Mo.

Bob Linebach, BS Ag Econ '81, of St. Joseph, Mo., announces that his oldest son, Dru, will graduate from Mizzou with a degree in marketing. His youngest son, Clay, was recently accepted at Mizzou.

Amy Iman Bellis, BS Ag J '82, and Kirk Bellis, BS An Sci '83, report that they have a daughter enrolled in CAFNR and a son who will attend next year. Kirk is the manager of sales training at Bayer in Orrick, Mo.

Barry Kagay, BS Ag Econ '82, was elected to the MFA board of directors, representing district one. He and his wife, Kathy, have a son, Bryant, majoring in mechanical engineering at MU.

Barbara Wilhelm Lips, BS Biochem '83, married Ned Lips in 2007. They recently moved to a new house in St. Louis West County.

Jeff Whetstine, BS Ag Econ '84, helps growers learn about stabilized nitrogen technology and about how to reduce nitrogen losses. He lives in University City, Mo.

Miki McKee Koelsch, BS Parks & Rec '85, earned a law degree from Saint Louis University in 2006.

Jordan Krugman, BS HRM '85, is an independent agent with a financial services company in St. Louis. He has two daughters, ages 13 and 17.

Edward Crowley, BS Ag Econ '87, received the Best of Visions Award for an article on innovation in Visions magazine. He is founder and president of the Photizo Group, Versailles, Ky.

Drew Henry, BS Ag '87, is the assistant army attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Argentina.

Tom Maassen, BS Ag Econ '87, has accepted a position as internal audit manager of Hawthorn Bancshares in Jefferson City, Mo.

Ann Walters, BS Food Sci '87, is the director of sales at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Mo.

David Herzog, BS FFW '88, recently became an "empty nester" by sending his youngest, Ali, to MU. His other son, Jake, is a senior.

Anne Hickey, BS Food Sci '88, is the director of marketing services at Marriott International in Winter Garden, Fla.

Kaylene Holt Cronje, BS FFW '89, has twin daughters who were born April 21, 2000. She has been employed with ADT Security Services since Jan. 1995.

Gary West, BS Biochem '82, is an optimization manager for Lafarge in Davenport, Iowa. He and his wife Tami continue to enjoy raising their children.

Young-Ki Paik, PhD Biochem '83, is a professor and director at Yongsei University in South Korea. He current serves as the president of Human Proteome Organization (HUPO) and AOHUP.

Michael Stafford, BS Biochem '84 and DVM '89, was appointed Attending Veterinarian to Missouri State University, Springfield.

David Volz, BS Biochem '84 and DVM '88, is the owner and veterinarian with the Animal Clinic in Woodland Park, Colo.

Clay Anderson, BS Biochem '86, is an associate professor of clinical medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine and is Director of the Missouri Palliative Care Program.  He is also has a faculty appointment in the MU Center for Health Ethics as a clinical ethicist and in the Sinclair School of Nursing as a teacher and research collaborator, as well as a part-time medical director for Community Hospices of America, Inc. -- North Central Missouri Office. After graduating from MU, Clay received an MD degree from Stanford University, and did his postgraduate training with the University of Colorado in Denver and University of Texas - M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He lives in Columbia with his wife Michelle and their three children.

Jennifer (Scott) Lindsey, BS Food Sci '91, recently accepted a position with Danisco as the dairy and beverage industry manager.

Charlton Hombs, Ag Econ '92, and wife DeNea of Chesterfield, Mo., announce the birth of their daughter, Sydney Grace Hombs, born Sept 10, 2007.

Glen Waters, BS Ag Econ '92, and wife Kyla of Stet, Mo., announce the birth of their first child, Kristin Elizabeth, born July 22, 2008. Glen works for Land O'Lakes Purina as a cattle specialist in Norborne, Mo.

Eric Mullins, BS Biochem '97 and MD '01, is an Instructor of Pediatrics in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. He is primarily a lab based physician-scientist with an emphasis in studying the cross-talk between the coagulation system and inflammation/immune function.

Billy D. Wyatt, BS Biochem '98, is a doctor at the Stillwater Medical Group in Minnesota.

Chris Benjamin, BS Biochem '99, graduated from the MU School of Law in 2002. He is a law partner with Benjamin, McLaughlin, Benjamin in Harrisonville, Mo. and was recently appointed the Municipal Judge for Garden City. He is also building a political consulting firm, Regional Growth Solutions, and worked on several municipal races in April.

Heidi Rubach Kallivayalil, BS Biochem '99, is married and has two boys. She graduated from Nova Southeastern University - College of Pharmacy in May of '05. She then completed her Pharmacy Practice Residency in the summer of 2006 and began working at Mayo Clinic in the hospital and clinic. She continues to run half-marathons, plays with her boys, and loves to travel.

Genalee Alexander, BS Gen Ag '00, is working as a public information specialist at the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health where she is coordinating the communications and emergency planning for 13 county health departments in mid-Missouri.

Kevin Allison, BS Biochem '00, is moving to London to assume a new position with the Financial Times. He joined the newspaper in 2003 and has reported from London, New York and San Francisco.

Dan Arnsperger, BS Ag Econ '00, owns a consulting and sales consumer products company in Springdale, Ark. He and his wife Catherine have two boys, ages 1 and 2.

Caroline Fay, BS Ag Econ '00, has worked for Farm Service Agency since 1999 and recently received a transfer to her hometown of Brookfield, Mo. She and her husband Chris have two daughters, Marian and Audrey.

Todd Goldinger, BS Ag Systems Management '00, has been operating an insurance company since 2004 in Palmyra, Mo. He has a daughter who is 7 and a son who is 3.

Tony Thompson, BS Agribusiness '01, is the county executive director in Harrison County, Mo. He and his wife Kathy raise Charolais/Angus/Romagnola cross cattle.

Josh Terhune, BS FFW '02, announces his engagement to Molly Borel. They plan to marry in Feb. 2009 and live in Kansas City, Mo.

Travis Young, BS PRT '02, will marry on Nov. 15, 2008, in Phoenix, Ariz. He is the general manager of a Spring Hill Suites by Marriott in Glendale, Ariz.

Amy Bohm, BS An Sci '03, is working in the Cardiology/Progressive Care Unit at St. Louis Children's Hospital as a registered nurse. She's pursuing a master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Casey Butler, BS An Sci '03, works in the bovine reproduction industry and deals with embryos, palpation and artificial insemination. He and his wife Rande adopted a baby from Ethiopia.

Kristen Ellis, BS Agribusiness '03, JD '06, announces an engagement to Justin Jennings. She works for the Clay County Prosecutor's Office as an assistant prosecuting attorney.

Sam Huenefeldt, BS Ag Econ '03, runs an ADM grain elevator near Fowler, Ind.

Dan Ruzicka, BS Biochem '03, earned his PhD from the University of Georgia-Athens. He works at the Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, Mo.

Bryan Sisk, BS Biochem '03, is enrolled as a first-year medical student at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. This is a five-year medical program aimed at training physician scientists.

Kyle Thompson, BS Agribusiness '03 and wife Erica celebrated the birth of their first child, Drew Mason Thompson. Kyle is a commercial lender with the Bank of Missouri in Jackson, Mo., and Erica, is a teacher at Orchard Drive Elementary.

Jessica Wieberg, BS Biochem '03, graduated from the Mizzou medical school in May '08 and started residency in Pathology at MU Hospitals & Clinics.

Luke Miller, BS An Sci '04 and MS An Sci '06 in ruminant nutrition, married Jamie Miller in Aug. 2007. They moved to a farm in Knox County, Mo., and are employed with NEMO Feed.

Laura Pearcy, BS Ag Ed '04, moved to Harrison, Ark, from Salem, Ore, to work for RockTenn, a marketing company.

Kevin O'Farrell, BS Agribusiness '05, received the Client Service Premier West 2007 Rookie of the Year Award. He works for the Nielsen Company, Fayetteville, Ark.

Justin Otto, BS Ag J '05, married Courtney Reichert and will graduate with a master's in public administration from Northern Kentucky University. He is president of the Graduate Programs Student Organization at NKU.

Jermyn Porter, BS FFW '05, married Jana (Thies) Porter, BS Ag Econ and Ag Ed '06, MS '07, in 2007 in Glasgow, Mo. Jermyn works for USGS as a fisheries biologist in Columbia, Mo. Jana works as a coordinator of rural health education in the office of Rural Health Programs at the University of Missouri School of Medicine.

Steven Lack, BS SEAS '06, married Lindsay Carmack, who graduated in 2006 with a degree from the Missouri School of Journalism. Steven was promoted to research associate I at NOAA-University of Colorado.

Karl-Henrik Lindell, BS Biochem '06, married Ruby Lindell in Aug. 2008. He is a microbiologist for DeLaval in Kansas City, Mo.

Katy Morgan, BS SEAS '06, moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C. to take a morning meteorologist position at a new, all digital, all HD NBC station, the first of its kind.

Jessica Palacios, BS HRM '06, and her husband Phillip of Owasso, Okla., announce the birth of their first child Madelyn Rae Palacios, born March 3, 2008.

Matthew Range, BS Forestry '06, is working as a consulting utility forester for Western Environmental Consultants Inc. He lives in San Francisco, Calif.

Lindsey (Ewing) Ware, BS An Sci '06, married Tim Ware, switched jobs, purchased a house, remodeled that house and bought a Harlequin Great Dane puppy. She and Tim live in Lenexa, Kan.

Laura Weldon, BS HRM '06, is the banquet manager at the Hyatt in Wichita, Kan.

Brittany Billings, BS HRM '07, is working with the Four Seasons hotel chain in St. Louis, Mo., as a banquet and event coordinator. She plans to become a certified wedding planner and start her own business.

Ashlea Eitel, BS An Sci '07, is the manager of the Vista View Equine Clinic in Columbia, Mo.

Jared Engles, BS Biochem '07, started his first year of medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He plans to graduate in 2012 and pursue a residency in radiology.

Kathleen (Stuart) Hauser, BS Food Sci '07, married David Hauser in 2004 and in Nov. 2007 gave birth to a son, Henry. The family operates an Angus farm in Milan, Mo.

Natalie (Windett) Imhoff, BS HRM '07, and her husband Ryan of Jefferson City, Mo., announce the birth of Braeden, born Oct. 2007.

Gary Reichel, BS An Sci '07, is a teacher in Eldon, Mo. He is pursuing a master's degree.

Mike Walsh, BS Forestry '07, has started a job managing a nursery and the forestry programs for a non-profit tree nursery based in St. Louis, Mo.

Whitney Wiegel, BS Ag Ed '07, completed an internship with Samaritan's Purse International Relief, spending five months in Kosovo with a local agricultural cooperative. She is now enrolled in graduate school at MU.

Darren Farmer, MS Ag Ed '08, is an ag education teacher at Polo High School in Polo, Mo.

Jonathan Kaiser, BS Biochem '08, started graduate school at Vanderbilt University.

Jessica Logan, BS HRM '08, interned at Walt Disney World.

Michelle Turner, BS An Sci '08, is enrolled in the MU College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 2012.

James Tvrdy, BS Agribusiness '08, is training to become a Peace Corps volunteer in Lima, Peru.

Michael Trent Weatherly, BS An Sci '08, married Rachel Weatherly in Sept. 2008. They live in St. Joseph, Mo.

Amanda Brodeur, BS Biochem '00 and MD/PhD Biochem '06, is finishing her pediatrics residency at University of Missouri Health Care in June, and will be starting as a Genetics Resident at the University in July. She has two boys: Cole is 3, and Chase is 7 months old.

Nicholas Hamilton, BS Biochem '00, is a Surgery Resident at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Mark Pogemiller, BS Biochem '00, is a pediatrician with the US Air Force and resides in Oklahoma City.

Ryan Carter, BS Biochem '01, will complete his fifth military deployment in July; this one a 7-month stint in Afghanistan. Since 2002, he has served the United States Navy in 37 other countries including Pakistan, Nicaragua, South Korea, and nearly every nation in the Middle East. In September, he'll transfer from Norfolk, Vir. to New London, Conn. for a short, six month tour. After that, he hopes to get back down south to Georgia for a couple of years.

Nathan Brinker, BS Biochem '01, graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences with a medical degree in 2005. He is currently finishing his Emergency Medicine residency through Midwestern University and will become an attending on staff at Saint Mary of Nazareth hospital in Chicago in July 2009.

Mary Fisher, BS Biochem '03, is a research chemist at Acceleration and has been living in Kansas City for the last two years. She competed in the Boston Marathon on April 20.

Dan Ruzicka, BS Biochem '03, graduated from University of Georgia with a PhD in Genetics in May 2008. He started a post-doc at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis working on an NSF funded research project investigating the effects of mycorrhizal symbiosis on nutrient sensing and transcription in organically farmed tomato roots.

Sean Stoneking, BS Biochem '03, graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 2008. He is now training in the Anesthesiology program at SLU.

Ryan Hobbs, BS Biochem '04, is pursuing a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at Northwestern University in Chicago. His research focuses on how cell-cell adhesion is dysregulated in diseases and cancer of the skin.

Erin Johnson, BS Biochem '04, is a first year graduate student working towards a PhD in the Neurobiology and Behavior department at Cornell University.

Elizabeth Pierce, BS Biochem '04, is a third-year medical student and will marry on June 6, 2009. She lives in Lee's Summit, Mo. with her fiancé Charles and their Goldendoodle named Truman.

Andrew Dalton, BS Biochem '06, is finishing his second year of medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biological Science. He is also pursuing MBA from Rockhurst in conjunction with the KCUMB program.

Andrew Brueggeman, BS Biochem '08, was recently accepted into the biochemistry graduate program at the University of Nebraska and is pursuing a doctorate in agricultural biochemistry.

Michelle Lantz, BS F&W '01, is a Teach For America Corps member at YES College Prep North Central in Houston, Texas. Each homeroom is named after a university and her homeroom is the University of Missouri.

Bob Wagner, BS Ag Econ '71, is an equine nutrition specialist working with high-level sport horses, breeding farms and racehorses in the Southeast.

Joe Burch, BS Ag '75, is employed as an operations manager with POET Biorefining in Laddoina, Mo., hired March 5, 2009.

Pam Probert, BS Food Sci '80, and Ted Probert, BS Dairy Sci '78 and MS '79, announce that their daughter Kate Probert, BS An Sci '08, became a third generation Probert to graduate with an agriculture degree from MU, following her father and grandfather, Don Probert, '52.

Stephen Parsons, BS Ag Econ '82, works as Vice-President for JPMorgan EFS. He is the state director for the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) program in Tennessee and the District of Columbia, which allows food stamp benefits to be distributed through a debit card. He has held this position for 12 years.

Jerry Terrill, BS Ani Sci '92 and MS '94, recently relocated to Brookfield, Mo., to serve as the North Central Missouri Account Manager for Pioneer Hi-Bred.

Kyle Rozeboom, MS Ani Sci '97, and Gretchen (Bruffett) Rozeboom, BS Gen Ag '97, announce the birth of their third child, Landrey Diane, born Feb. 27, 2009. She joins two brothers, Kelton, 8, and Owen, 5. Gretchen is working on a doctorate in Education at the Univ. of Minnesota, while serving as the academic advisor for the Dept. of Animal Science. Kyle is a lecturer in Animal Science and Livestock Judging Coach at the Univ. of Minnesota.

Cherilyn (Guthals) Lenz, BS Ani Sci '98 and MS Ag Ed '00, married Michael Lenz in April 2005, and they have two children: Taya, born April 2006, and Taten, born June 2009.

Gina Riekhof, BS Ag Econ '99 and MS '03, and her husband Brad Gampper announce the birth of their daughter, Ella Kat.

Benjamin Bass, BS Ani Sci '01, married Anne Killion on May 2, 2009 in Bella Vista, Ark. Benjamin is a PhD student at the Univ. of Arkansas.

Tiffany (Rouse) Kauffman, BS Ag Ed '02 and MS '04, reports that she is now teaching at Ava Schools in Ava, Mo., and was married on June 14, 2008 to Randy Kauffman of Clever, Mo.

Curtis Fischer, BS Agribusiness '03, married Michelle Mueller on Aug. 29, 2009. He is an assistant vice-president for FCS Financial in Jefferson City, Mo.

Sam Huenefeldt, BS Ag Econ '03, has moved to Quincy, Ill., and is working as a merchandiser for ADM Oilseed Processing.

Jessie (Lewis) Decker, BS Ag J '06, married Will Decker on Sept. 20, 2008, in Springfield, Ill. Will graduated in 2007 with a BA in English.

Jaclyn (DeWeese) Korte, BS Ag J and Ag Econ '07, married Kurt Korte, BS Ag Econ '05, on June 14, 2008. The couple lived in Memphis, Tenn., for three years, but recently moved to Jefferson City, Mo. Jaclyn is an Account Executive for Missouri Farmer Today, and Kurt is a Risk Asset Manager for FCS Financial.

Sarah (Jackson) Hill, BS Ag J '08, married Braeton Hill on Aug. 8, 2009 in Grand Junction, Co. Sarah is working as a 4-H Educator for the Univ. of Wyoming.

Lindsay Grotjan, BS Ag Ed '08 and Heath Oram, BS Ag Econ '09, were united in marriage on Sept. 26, 2009.
