2011 Past President Award: Don Nikodim
DON NIKODIM has served as the executive director of the Missouri Pork Association since December 1983. Originally from a small, diversified farm in southwest Missouri, Don has both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Missouri and is a graduate of the Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow ( ALOT ) program. He represents the pork association as a registered lobbyist at the state level and has served on numerous committees and task forces for the National Pork Producers Council, National Pork Board, University of Missouri and related agencies. Previously, he has worked as an Extension farm management specialist for the University of Missouri, executive director for the Poland China Record Association, Inc. and as a vocational agriculture instructor.
Don currently serves as the chairman for the Missouri Farmers Care Ag Coalition. He is the immediate past president of the Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow Board and is the immediate past president of the University of Missouri Ag Alumni Association.
Don and his wife, Betty, live in Columbia and his primary hobby is collecting and restoring old farm tractors.
