Breimyer Seminar: Turning Brown to Green

Event Description: The seminar "Manure Entrepreneurs: Turning Brown to Green" will showcase entrepreneurs who have found profitable and environmentally friendly uses for livestock manure. Composting, gardening products and methane digesters will be discussed by producers. Other speakers will discuss future trends, energy policy, carbon credits, regulatory issues and funding options for new ventures. Producers, agency staff, agribusinesses, researchers, faculty and graduate students are invited to attend. 6th Annual Missouri Chestnut Roast

Event Description:

Event will showcase chestnut, pecan and black walnut products, Missouri wines, beers, cheeses, meats and more. Free tasting samples of many products, fresh roasted chestnuts, live music, farm tours, cooking with chestnuts demonstrations, children's activities, tours of the newly renovated 1819 Thomas Hickman House. Held rain or shine, most booths and activities inside large tents. Free admission and parking. Service dogs allowed, no pets.

Volunteer workers are needed to help on event day. Please contact Julie Rhoads, RhoadsJ@missouri.edu, to volunteer.
