Yuksel Agca
Assistant Professor
Veterinary Pathobiology
- Phone: 573-884-9523
- E-mail: AgcaY@missouri.edu
- Address: 230 Veterinary Pathobiology
Education
- B.S., University of Wisconsin
- M.S., University of Wisconsin
- Ph.D., Purdue University
- Post-Doctoral Fellow, Indiana University School of Medicine
Research Focus
- Gametes
- Embryos
- Gonads
Research Description
Agca's research interests are in the development of more efficient methods for cryopreservation of mammalian germplasm (i.e., gametes, embryos, gonads) from scientifically and economically valuable (e.g., transgenics, knockouts) animal models for genome resource banking purposes. Agca is also interested in the development of assisted reproductive technologies and alternative gene delivery methods in rats.
