Leadership in Agriculture Minor

Minor Curriculum
Each student will be required to take a total of four courses (12 hours) of formal courses from those listed below, and three hours of leadership practicum for a total of 15 hours.
  • Agricultural Education 2250: Personal Leadership Development (3)
  • Agricultural Education 2220: Verbal Communication in Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (3)
  • Plant Sciences 4001: Role of Women in Leadership (3)
  • Rural Sociology 4341: Building Communities from the Grassroots (3) or
    Rural Sociology 7341: Building Communities from theGrassroots (3)
  • Rural Sociology 2225: Science, Technology and Society (3)
  • Agricultural Education 2260: Team and Organizational Leadership (3)
  • Optional Course (3)
Additional leadership oriented courses, not to exceed three credit hours, may be used toward the minor. Such courses must be approved by the coordinator of the CAFNR Leadership Minor.

If you want to supplement your degree with a strong base in leadership skills then a minor in leadership is right for you. A student interested in pursuing a Leadership in Agriculture minor should contact the coordinator for the minor, Rob Terry.
